More information:

We are keen to recruit a passionate, prayerful and envisioned Worship Pastor to lead and develop the sung worship at St Peter’s, Notting Hill. This person will have enthusiasm in worship, experience of the ministry of the Holy Spirit and a passion for Jesus Christ and His church.

St Peter’s is a vibrant and growing charismatic evangelical Church of England church set in the heart of Notting Hill with a current church made up of approximately 180 adults and 30 children (mostly babies & toddlers), with a regular Sunday congregation size of around 120 adults and 20 children. We currently have services at 10.30am and 6pm on a Sunday.

Our worship style is mainly contemporary (e.g., Hillsong, Sovereign Grace Music, Worship Central and Elevation Worship), but with some traditional hymns (often played in a contemporary style). We place a high value on freedom in our worship and we love to seek God’s presence and create space for the Holy Spirit to move through our worship.

The worship band is currently thriving and has a dedicated team of singers and instrumentalists who are keen to serve. There is a separate AV team, which the Worship Pastor would also oversee.

ROLES ON OFFER
In order to ensure the best possible candidate is recruited to this key role in church life, we are offering 3 different options for this Worship Pastor role, each with different hours and responsibilities.

Worship Pastor – Part-time – 2 or 3 days a week

Worship Pastor & Social Media Lead – Full-time

Worship Pastor & Evening Service Pastor – Full-time

Those roles are described in detail on our website. When you submit an application, you must complete the relevant application form for the role you are applying for.

There is a genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 that the postholder be a committed Christian with a living faith and is committed to the vision and values of St Peter’s, which includes agreement with the CEEC Basis of Faith, including the two additional declarations.

The Diocese of London is committed to creating and sustaining a diverse and inclusive workforce which represents our context and wider community. We are aware that those of Global Majority Heritage/United Kingdom Minority Ethnic (GMH/UKME), women, and disabled people are currently under-represented among our clergy and workforce, and we particularly encourage applications from those with the relevant skills and experience that will increase this representation.
