Manpower has an exciting opportunity to join one of our clients as a Waste Collection Van Driver in Edinburgh.
Please not all applicants must have a fully clean driving license or no more than 3 points.
This role will be working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, plus additional weekend shifts required on a rota. Initially this role will be temporary with a view to going permanent after 12 weeks.
This a customer facing role collecting bagged material waste of circa 50-80 collections per day.
Main tasks and activities:
* Manage workload to complete all collections in a timely manner
* Record collection data on hand held mobile technology
* Establish rapport with clients in an open and engaging manner
* Communicate effectively on a day-to-day basis
* Understand agreed service levels and ensure they are upheld
The right candidate for this role can come from any background but you should have excellent verbal communication as you will be customer facing at each site you collect from. You should have good organisational and time management skills and be able to problem solve and think on your feet when required.
Ideally, you will possess a clean Cat B driving licence and have experience driving 3.5tonne vehicles.
Full training will be provided during the first 4 weeks where you will work alongside current staff doing the role and getting fully briefed on all aspects of what is required.
