Our product Organisation is the engine of our business. They ensure we can provide the right products for the right clients at the right time. The Lending Product Management team worksupport the daily end to end management of all Lending Products across HSBC Innovation Banking UK; giving you full exposure to several sub-products including Term Loans, Revolving lines of credit and Receivables Finance, across our clients in their different life stages and the sectors within the Innovation Ecosystem.

The value you’ll add:

As part of a wider busy Product Management team, your role will be hands on, and delivery focused. Reporting directly into the Head of Lending Product Management you'll help drive product development, maintenance and commercialisation from day one. You’ll also be instrumental inimproving client experience and shaping key strategic priorities for the lending productby working closely with internal partners (within Innovation Banking as well as broader HSBC Group) and our clients.

What you can expect to be doing:

Act as Lending Product SME internally, supporting internal stakeholders , Relationship Teams (specifically Credit Solutions), Legal, Compliance, Credit and Risk.

Manag existing products within the Innovation Banking UK inventory (including monitoring the relevant P&Ls in line with defined budgets and ensuring soundness and fit-for-purpose nature of the product set), commercialising available products, features or capabilities already available through the wider HSBC Group (, implementing a distributor model).

Lead on Lending Product Governance activities including the regular in-depth product review process, graduation, or withdrawal of pilot products.

Maintain the product development roadmap for future enhancements to the product set. This includes the development of business cases to secure investment to deliver the strategic agenda.

Use data to create insightful MI support the flow of information into monitor pricing and profitability through to relevant Committees and Forums, available MI tools, including pricing exception reviews.

Identify the need for potential product enhancements through deep understanding of client and business needs.

Contribute to managing the product risk and control framework including Product Approval Programs, stress testing, conduct risk reviews etc.

Continuously monitoring the industry and environment to ensure HSBC Innovation Banking UK keeps pace with competitor offerings and evolveswith regulatory and market changes.

Requirements

Requirements:

Current experience of lending product management, gained through product management, implementations, coverage / origination etc. Knowledge of Commercial/SME lending products is preferred but suitability may extend to consumer / retail lending products.

Previous or existing “Product Owner” experience within a Lending, Agile delivery team.

Exceptional interpersonal and communications/presentation skills with a senior presence and ability to operate at all management levels.

Strong generalist knowledge and experience across multiple products, spanning front-end channels, middle and back-office systems.

Proven successful track record of new product development and solid understanding of product lifecycle methodology and governance required (including New Product Approvals).

Ability to build networks and relationships internally and externally, and experience of working within virtual and matrix reporting environments.

Ability to perform under pressure, prioritise effectively, appreciating and adapting to a fast-moving business environment.

A strong numerical education, or analytical background, intellectual curiosity and ability to think conceptually.
