Vinyl Graphics Technician - Team Lead

In this hands-on Vinyl Graphics Technician - Team Leader position, you'll be responsible for overseeing the team of skilled Graphic (Vehicle Wrapping, Vinyl) Technicians. You will work closely with the Head of Paint Shop to drive the development of the department, ensure the seamless day to day operations and maximise the capabilities of the team. Your responsibilities will encompass all facets of in-process production and preparation, ensuring adherence to the highest standards and meeting agreed delivery timelines.

What you will do:

Collaborate with multiple manufacturing departments to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines effectively.

To organise Technicians for each job, prioritising effectively and maximise productivity within your working area. This includes organising overtime etc.

Serve as the first point of contact for any issues, promptly communicating deviations and facilitating resolution. 

Manage all specifications and up revisions in accordance with Production Control and Engineering.

Communicate any quality issues to the relevant departments, ensuring thorough recording for corrective action. 

Provide feedback on issues and suggest improvements for cost or lead-time reductions.

Support the Head of Department to drive and develop the departmental continuous improvement element.

To introduce new staff and new contractors and then organise training on all systems, equipment & standard operating procedures.

To work to all Epicor procedures, including strict adherence in ensuring works orders are raised, signed off and are kept with the job in hand at all times to maintain data integrity.

Uphold high standards of housekeeping and be flexible in workload demands demonstrating adaptability to our ever-evolving requirements.

This role will immerse you into the heart of our campus where you will be embedded into the creative world within our Paint & Graphics Shop. With this in mind we require you to be a natural leader who is highly organised that will inspire and motivate the team to excel in all areas. You will also have excellent communication skills and the ability to work to very tight deadlines, challenging situations and delivery pressures.
