Contract: Permanent, full-time (40 hours per week over 5 days)
Salary: £47,702 - £65,000 + One-off Recruitment & Retention Allowance of £2,500*

What You'll Be Doing
  • Conducting consultations, diagnostics, surgeries, and inpatient care.
  • Overseeing your clinical cases from start to finish.
  • Working in a supportive hospital with advanced diagnostic and surgical equipment.
  • Providing compassionate care and support to clients seeking charitable assistance for their pets.
  • Participating in continuing professional development and clinical discussions.
  • Helping train and integrate volunteers, new graduates, and students.
  • Providing emergency care as needed.
  • Performing phone and video consultations when required.
About You
  • Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
  • Demonstrable small animal or mixed practice experience.
  • Sole charge experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • UK driving licence. (Desirable)
  • Existing right to work in the UK.

State-of-the-Art Facilities: Our purpose-built hospital, opened in 2005, boasts six consultation rooms, operating suites, minor procedure rooms, and extensive inpatient facilities, including separate cat, dog, small animal, and isolation wards. Our on-site veterinary facilities include digital X-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, electrocardiography, laboratory tests, multiparameter anaesthetic monitors, infusion pumps, and Bair Huggers.

Diverse Caseload: Expand your veterinary knowledge and skills through a variety of cases. Encounter a wide range of challenges, from routine care to complex medical emergencies, fostering professional growth and development.

Location:   Our Grimsby hospital is ideally located near the picturesque Lincolnshire Wolds and the award-winning Cleethorpes Beach. Nearby towns and cities like Lincoln, Hull, Doncaster, and Sheffield are just over an hour away by car or train. The area offers affordable housing close to essential amenities and has a range of primary and secondary schools.   If you’re considering relocating, Blue Cross may offer financial assistance to help with your move, subject to T&Cs.
