We are currently looking for a dynamic individual to join our Technology Practice as a UX/UI Designer/Developer.
The UX/UI Designer/Developer will be responsible for overseeing, managing, and executing the re-design of the GTT portal UI using JavaScript, ensuring an intuitive and seamless user experience.
The role:
Lead the re-design and development of the GTT portal UI using JavaScript
Proactively monitor and enhance the user experience across the portal
Assist Front and Middle Office colleagues in providing real-time technical support to traders and clients
Collaborate and build relationships with key third-party suppliers/vendors
Proactively identify and diagnose design and technical issues, taking clear remedial action if necessary
Ensure all issues and changes are accurately logged and tracked to completion
Participate and engage with the team to continually question the validity of key processes, functions, and workflows, freely sharing knowledge, insights, best practices, and ideas to ensure greater efficiencies and encourage personal development
Review and update key procedural documentation including design guidelines and UI specifications
Assist in the production of key management information
Coordinate and document usability tests and functional certifications
Maintain technical contact information of all key clients and third-party vendors
Take ownership of client onboarding and vendor take-on and implementation process
Collaborate across the business with areas such as Compliance and Risk
Key Skills and Experience:
Strong knowledge and experience in UX/UI design and development
Strong proficiency in JavaScript and front-end development frameworks
Experience with re-design projects, particularly in portal UI
Previous experience in an IT Support/Networking role within Trading/Financial Services is desirable
Demonstrable interest in pursuing a career within Financial Services/Technology
Quick learner, with the ability to question and challenge
Commitment to learn new skills and develop existing ones
A keen eye for attention to detail. Multi-tasking and prioritization
Excellent verbal, written, and in-person communication ability to understand a business user and translate to IT in technical detail
