The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Town Planner to join our client. In this role, you will be at the heart of the planning and development process, ensuring that projects comply with all planning regulations and contribute positively to the communities our client serves.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning Applications: Prepare and submit planning applications, ensuring compliance with local and national planning policies.
  • Development Plans: Develop and manage site plans, coordinating with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Community Engagement: Engage with local communities and authorities to ensure our projects are welcomed and meet community needs.
  • Sustainability: Promote sustainable development practices in all planning activities.
  • Policy Advice: Provide expert advice on planning policies and regulations to guide project development.
  • Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: A degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role, preferably within the housebuilding sector.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of planning legislation, policy, and procedures.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
  • Certifications: Membership with a professional body such as the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) is desirable.
