Tenancy Support Worker

Job description

Position: TST Worker - Homeless / Drug and Alcohol
Location: Kingston
Contract: 3-month rolling (potential for permanent)
Hours: 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday

A homelessness charity in Kingston is seeking a Tenancy Support Worker to provide floating support to clients in supported housing or privately rented accommodation.

Responsibilities:

Deliver support to formerly homeless or vulnerably housed individuals.

Assess client needs and secure suitable housing.

Help clients set and achieve tenancy goals.

Provide guidance, crisis intervention, and future planning.

Conduct client assessments and casework.

Assist with financial matters, including welfare and housing benefits.

Occasionally enter client rooms alone, with an app provided for safety.

Requirements:

Experience in homelessness or social care.

Strong IT skills and accurate record-keeping.

Proficient in writing reports and client notes.

Skilled in client assessments and interviews.

Independent worker with creative task management.
