ALL DAY EVERY DAY WE MAKE LIFEBETTER
- Deliversbasic nursing and restorative care within the facilities policiesand procedures under the supervision of LPNs andRNs.
- Attend report prior to starting residentcare and keep licensed personnel informed of significantobservations in resident care and environmental conditions supplyand equipment needs and performanceproblems.
- Assist residents with all aspects ofpersonal hygiene including bathing grooming and dressing;administer specified skin care treatments according to facilityprotocol and the Resident Care Plan.
- Provideassistance to residents for ambulation and movement including rangeof motion turning positioning supporting or transferring; andassist residents with nutrition and bodily waste including feedinghydration toileting bowel/bladder training input and output andcaloric counts.
- Secure a safe environment forstaff and residents by reacting to emergency situations perfacility policy such as fire drills redirecting wandering/confusedresidents and resident falls; and ensure resident safety at alltimes and protect the rights of all residents at alltimes.
- Obtain adequate knowledge of ResidentCare Plans in order to provide basic nursing care; comply withestablished nursing standards and policies and procedures of thenursing department and the facility; and maintain residentconfidentiality and privacy.
- Identify andutilize infection control technique at all times; respect thespiritual belief system of residents; encourage residents toparticipate in their care appropriate to the residents optimallevel of physical and mentalfunctioning.
