This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, talented, and ambitious person to work for our Commercial Services Team, within the Regulatory Services & Health Department.

The Commercial Services Team is responsible for food safety, health & safety, and mobile home licensing, and is based across two office locations within the Borough: Crewe and Macclesfield.

We have a vacancy for an Officer to work primarily with our Caravan / Mobile homes sites, in addition to supporting the other Health & Safety functions provided by the team, including skin piercing registrations, accident investigations and workplace complaints.

    As a Technical Officer, you will be responsible for a varied caseload. We have a range of caravan site types within the borough including Residential, Gypsy & Traveller, Recreational and Touring Sites, and different skills will be required to ensure they operate in compliance with site licence conditions. You will be required to undertake site inspections, draft site licences, respond to complaints and planning applications, and work closely with the Gypsy Traveller Liaison Team. Your role will include the provision of support and advice to individuals and the local business community, and where necessary to take appropriate enforcement action.

    Working as part of a busy team you will need to have a flexible approach to service delivery to meet your personal objectives, the wider aims of the service, and the Council's strategic objectives.

    You will require excellent verbal and written communication skills, good time management and enjoy being part of a vibrant team.
