Teaching Assistant

We are recruiting for a number of different teaching assistant roles in and around Glastonbury. We are offering a full time role, the working hours would be 8:30am - 3:30pm. This is a fantastic opportunity if you have experience working with children and have experience working in a secondary schools. We offer a competitive rate of £90- £105 per day depending on experience.
What the client is looking for
As a teaching assistant you need to be adaptable, personable and have a hands on approach. You need to demonstrate that you have a caring and empathetic nature. We are not just looking for someone who has experience, but someone who has a genuine passion for working with children and isn’t afraid to get stuck in!
Within the role you will:
- Making sure all resources the children may need are available
- Supporting learning in the classroom, 1:1 and small groups
- Ensuring the students uphold the school behaviour policies and values
- Aiding the children with pastoral care
- Being proactive with helping students but also the class teacher
