  • A teaching assistant is needed for special educational needs (SEN) school in North London for students aged 8-19.

    As a teaching assistant, you will be primarily supporting students with social, mental, or emotional health (SEMH) needs, but may also be supporting students with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) and other complex needs.

    As a teaching assistant, you will be working closely alongside the teacher or with small groups or individual students.

    Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Working with and supporting students with SEMH, ASD and other complex needs.
  • Providing academic support, either one-on-one or in a small group.
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive classroom culture and providing emotional support when needed.
  • Implementing behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
  • Using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage focus and self-control.
  • Assisting with lesson planning and delivery.
  • Being aware of safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of students.
  • Teaching Assistant Requirements:
