27.5 hours per week (8.45am-3.30pm with 1 hour and 15mins for lunch) – Term Time only

St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School Academy Council is seeking to appoint a classroom Teaching Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a school which is a special place, well known for caring for its children. Main duties will include:
Scaffolding resources and support individual children with specific needs
Working with small groups of pupils to enhance the learning process
Assisting teachers with various tasks including helping them to prepare lesson plans or by getting equipment or materials for specific lessons
Helping teachers with recordkeeping, such as taking attendance registers
Setting up necessary material for classes (e.g. projectors, chemistry sets)
Escorting and supervising pupils on field trips and other school activities
Follow school and class rules to teach pupils proper behaviour and report to teachers about possible behavioural issues
Assist with classroom instruction and provide support and guidance to pupils.
