We need an amazing teaching and learning assistant for September 2024 at Curbar Primary School . A vibrant and friendly individual is needed to assist in the school’s vision of producing ‘Happy learners forging their place in the world’.
With only four teachers and three teaching assistants you will be an important part of the team in this popular village school.
Governors are looking for a friendly, caring and suitably skilled individual from September 2024 to support arange ofchildren in a mixed age reception and key stage 1 class - including those with special educational needs, including children with ASD/ADHD and those experiencing social, behavioural and emotional difficulties. The work would involve leading groups of children and supporting our children in whole class situations, small groups and individually. The role is for five mornings per week (approx. – 12pm) and lunchtime supervision.
This is a position that requires warmth, nurture and patience but would offer huge rewards from the relationship between yourself and the children. The successful applicant will also be expected to make a significant contribution to supporting and complementing the work of the teaching staff.
Previous experience of working with children in a school setting (especially early years and key stage 1), excellent interpersonal skills, appropriate qualifications, a sense of humour and the ability to work as part of a team are essential.
