We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic RE teacher to join our vibrant department within a thriving secondary school in Hounslow. This is a fantastic chance to share your knowledge and passion for RE with students of all backgrounds and beliefs, fostering their understanding of different religions and philosophies.
About the Role (Part-Time Permanent):
- Delivering engaging and thought-provoking RE lessons across the curriculum, potentially catering to Key Stage 3 (Years 7-8) and/or Key Stage 4 (Years 9-11) in line with the National Curriculum.
- Creating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that promotes critical thinking, respectful dialogue, and an appreciation for diverse religious and philosophical viewpoints.
- Contributing to the ongoing development of the RE curriculum, ensuring it aligns with the school's vision and national guidelines.
- Building strong relationships with students and fostering their confidence and curiosity about RE.
- Participating in departmental and whole-school events, contributing to the wider school community (pro-rated for part-time role).
The Ideal Candidate:
- A qualified RE teacher with a demonstrable track record of success in engaging students in RE.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for fostering a respectful and inclusive learning environment that explores a variety of religions and philosophies.
- Strong pedagogical skills and the ability to deliver innovative and effective lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and backgrounds.
- A commitment to high standards and the ability to create a positive and stimulating learning environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
