Protocol Education are currently looking to employ a creative and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join a welcoming Secondary School in the Hemel Hempsead area for up to 5 days a week. We seek an individual who is passionate about their subject and ready for their next teaching role, with the drive to enthuse students about Food Technology and provide an outstanding educational experience.

Your Role:

As a Food Technology Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver creative and inspirational Food Technology lessons that engage all students in their learning.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain discipline around the school.
  • Encourage, motivate, and inspire students to design and make practical objects using a variety of techniques.
  • Ensure that students studying Food Technology are appropriately challenged, supported, and achieve or exceed their expected levels of progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Participate in school events, parent evenings, and professional development sessions.
  • The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Have experience within a teaching setting and a strong knowledge of the KS3/KS4 curriculum.
  • Hold Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Possess a genuine passion for Food Technology and a commitment to shaping young children's education and futures.
  • Demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills and maintain high expectations in the classroom.
  • Create a dynamic and engaging learning atmosphere that captures students' interest.
  • Dedicate themselves to the promotion of child welfare and safeguarding.
  • Exhibit outstanding standards of teaching and learning, inspiring students to achieve their best.

    All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
