Position Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive music education to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. This encompasses planning and executing stimulating lessons, fostering a love of music through diverse genres and activities, and preparing students for examinations and performances. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to academic excellence, creativity, and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver inspiring and differentiated music lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and enjoyment.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to promote individual growth.
- Actively contribute to the development and enhancement of the school's music program.
- Participate in extracurricular music activities, such as ensembles, choirs, and concerts.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in Music or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience teaching music at the secondary level.
- A proven track record of academic success and student engagement.
- Proficiency in a variety of musical instruments and genres.
