Role : Support Worker

Salary : £11.59 - £11.89 per hour

Service : Mersey Road, Ipswich

  • Help the people we support to engage in meaningful opportunities and activities – empowering them to enjoy a great life filled with amazing experiences.
  • Get involved in the community, support during leisure and social activities, and celebrate special occasions.
  • Communicate appropriately, considering individual communication needs, and helping people to communicate effectively with others, too.
  • Work across various shift patterns including early, late, weekend or night shifts. Full time and part time positions are available.
  • Your Service

    This supported living service is perfect for someone looking to live independently but have an active, fun social life. There is a family atmosphere here, everyone is supportive of each other – you’ll find hand-painted artwork in the halls, photos on the walls, lovingly grown flowers being shared and everyone pitching in together to pick their homegrown fruits and veggies. The team are always ready to get involved with the latest DIY project or to redecorate with the residents.

  • The next step will be an interview in the service, where you’ll meet the team and the people we support.
  • If successful, we’ll organise your Free DBS Check and references prior to confirming your start date.
  • Your journey will then begin with a 3-day online induction, before heading to the service to get started.
  • We welcome applications from all backgrounds, and no experience is needed. You may be new to care, or already have experience in the social care sector or NHS (Mental Health Support Worker, Care Worker, Healthcare Assistant or Care Assistant). As long as you come with a person-centred approach, a caring nature, and you are able to demonstrate a commitment to working as part of a team to support disabled and autistic people – then we’re here to provide you with the training and knowledge needed to succeed.
