The job itself
A young man of 20 living in Flamborough requires a Support Worker for 18 hours per week to assist with personal care, and to help him access the community and take part in activities.
The young man uses a wheelchair. He enjoys activities such as going to the cinema, going for days out, bowling and swimming.
The working pattern is mornings only (7 a.m. start) for personal care and flexibility for weekends for social activities.
The young man attends a day care centre, so the package hours will mean supporting parent to get him ready.
Support Worker must be flexible, honest, and reliable. It is essential that applicants are motivated and able to use their own initiative whilst supporting this young man.
DBS/Reference checks will be required for this post – Cost to be met by the local authority.
