A specialist day centre is looking for a dedicated and compassionate support worker to join one of their teams supporting young people with moderate and severe SEN and complex needs. This is a award winning independent Charity run setting looking to make a difference. They setting currently provides support to 45+ individuals who have a range of needs and disabilities but are united by a love of learning and education. Their mission is to help those young people and adults make life happen which is why your role as a support worker is vital. This role is needed on a full time, permanent basis starting ASAP. This role is needed all year round, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. A working day will entail supporting learners on a 1:1 basis with life skills, educational activities and work experience. This is a role where you can make a difference.

Your role will include:
Supporting with life skills
Supporting with homework/ study/ educational activities
Promoting independence amongst the people we support
Supporting people we support with Personal care needs
Dealing with complex needs
Liaise with other agencies and families when necessary

Skills required for the role
Excellent communications skills to liaise with other agencies
Kind, nurturing and committed individual who is keen to support SEN learners
Experience working within the care sector ( desirable)
Eligibility to work in the UK
