We are looking for a confident and positive individual to support the work of Legal Services by providing professional legal advice and support as required across the range of work carried out by the service on behalf of the Council.
You must be a fully qualified solicitor and hold a Diploma in Legal Practice or equivalent, as well as a current unrestricted Practising Certificate from the Law Society of Scotland. You will have comprehensive knowledge and recent experience of heritable property advisory and transactional work. You will be able to manage a large and diverse caseload which will include heritable property work; commercial and domestic landlord/tenant issues; the Council’s role in regulating the Built Environment (Planning, Building Control, contaminated land, environmental protection and Roads); and participation in Council projects.
With the ability to adapt to change, work to deadlines and manage a large, diverse caseload, you will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be able to work with minimum supervision together with an ability to work as part of a team

Working Pattern
Monday to Thursday 8.45am to 4.45pm
Friday 8.45am to 4.15pm
