Your Role
Working in our Employment team is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in a wide variety of work with a respondent focus. We act for charities, education organisations, SMEs and large household name companies and have a mix of advisory and contentious work. As such, you can expect a role which is varied and enables you to develop a good-rounded skillset with opportunity to specialise in sectors or particular areas of law.
You’ll be part of a highly collaborative regional team of over 20. We work closely together to ensure our clients receive excellent support. Expect to be working on day to day HR Advisory work, advise on settlement agreements, assisting or running your own Tribunal Claims and getting involved in project work such as holiday pay, TUPE, corporate support and ED&I training or advice, to name only a few. You’ll benefit from supportive supervision that is focussed on each on of our team contributing to our outstanding client service and recognising the importance of individual professional development.
You’ll benefit from being part of a larger national employment practice of over 70 employment lawyers – we have a regular programme of legal training and wider support from practice development lawyers to help us keep up to date with changes. There will be opportunities to get involved with business development opportunities or to lead client relationships, depending on level of experience.
The right candidate will be an exceptional team player with a client facing approach to how you work. You will have experience of working on a variety of employment law matters, ideally be 2-6 year PQE (but all interested candidates considered), be organised, be a good communicator and enjoy a busy, varied workload.
