Role Overview: As a key member of the Corporate and Investment Bank, Macro Data Analytics Team, you will be part of an agile delivery team responsible for designing and implementing secure, stable, and scalable technology solutions. You will collaborate closely with Front Office and Quant Research teams to develop advanced data pipeline solutions on AWS, utilizing technologies such as AWS Glue, Kinesis, and Redshift. You will deliver high quality data sets to Front Office and Research users for their analytical and business intelligence purposes.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Apply your deep knowledge and expertise across all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
  • Build effective partnerships with stakeholders at all levels in the firm to maintain focus on common goals and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, ensuring they are timely, low-latency, supportable, secure, cost-effective, and of high quality.
  • Develop business logic and data transformations in distributed frameworks to create curated datasets for specific business needs.
  • Take full ownership of the software delivery lifecycle, from requirement gathering to coding, testing, deployment, support, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Demonstrate self-motivation, ambition, and the ability to work independently while driving projects to successful completion.
  • Exhibit intellectual curiosity and a desire to understand trends and patterns in the data you work with.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Formal training or certification on software development concepts and expanding applied experience
  • Degree level education or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in software development, with a strong focus on data pipeline solutions.
  • Strong Python and Spark experience or equivalent such as Flink or Beam
  • Experience in AWS technologies, including AWS Glue, Kinesis, and Redshift - or similar from other cloud provider.
  • Experience working in a Markets trading environment is highly desirable especially in the areas of Currencies, Rates, Emerging Markets, Commodities and Options.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Proficiency in relational databases and SQL.
