You will join an integrated multi-disciplinary team to promote independence and control to enable people to live the lives they choose to lead, whatever their age or stage of life. You will provide high quality social work practice, ensuring individuals have a solution focussed plan towards achieving their goals and maintaining their wellbeing. You will work creatively with individuals, local communities, and our partners, empowering them to deliver the best possible outcomes for people and to create a positive Adult Social Care culture.

Are you a qualified social worker but not currently practising as a registered worker? Have you been out of practice for some time and are now looking to reignite your passion for social work as a career? If the answer is YES then we would also welcome an application from you!

We are committed to supporting qualified social workers back into practice, and to gain their professional registration. We have a package of support available to facilitate this - please see the attached  Return to Practice Handbook.

We are looking for people who can demonstrate: 

• A strong value base that informs your human rights-based approaches with adults,

• A recognition that people are the experts in their lives

• A relentless commitment to quality and best practice

• A capacity for honest, critical reflection and openness to learning;

• Ability to establish professional, effective working relationships with a range of partners/colleagues, adults, families and their carers

Working holistically over both the Community See & Solve and Active Recovery Teams, you will be supporting individuals within the City would are possibility entering the service for the first time. In addition, you will work with those who are receiving support from the Local Authority to support their rehabilitant journey through short term intervention. This post requires a commitment to strengths-based practice and proactive prevention.

You must be a qualified social worker and be registered with Social Work England.

Please note that 1 post is 5 days per week, over a 7 day working rota. The second post is a 5 days Monday to Friday. Flexible working can be considered.
