Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Supervisor to join a reputable primary school located in the DN11 area of Doncaster. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the school’s facilities and grounds, providing a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the school premises, including buildings and outdoor areas.
Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any issues related to safety, security, and repairs.
Coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance and repair work.
Manage the school’s heating, lighting, and ventilation systems to ensure optimal operation.
Handle minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting risk assessments as necessary.
Monitor and manage the school’s inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
Supervise and support the cleaning staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness are maintained.
Assist with the setup and breakdown of school events and activities.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any major issues to the school management.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within an educational setting.
Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures and safety regulations.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility and reliability, with a proactive approach to tasks.
Basic IT skills for record-keeping and communication purposes.
A valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo one) is essential.
