We have an unmissable opportunity for an experienced Print Equipment Service professional to join one of the world’s most prestigious print equipment suppliers. This leading organisation manufactures digital, litho and ancillary printing equipment of superior quality and reliability.

The successful applicant will take full management responsibilityfor the day-to-day operation of the Service Operations and Technical teams;covering installations, reactive,pro-active and warranty work; achieving the appropriate balance betweencustomer satisfaction and financial responsibility to achieve the departmentalbudget.

This key management role will lead a team of office based service operators and field based technical professionals. It requires someone with strong people management skills who can lead from the front and positively influence a team. You will be expected to recruit, manage, develop and motivate this team according to company procedures, policy and employment law. The success of the team’s output will depend on your ability to plan and manage activities to achieve effective and efficient customer service deliver, and to control costs in-line with business goals. Our client is looking for a strong problem solver with a critical eye who is constantly looking for ways to improve departmental efficiencies through the development, implementation and monitoring of initiatives, systems and processes.

Not only will you be working closely with subordinates,you will be required to provide technical assistance and advice to the salesdepartment. You will also liaise closely with other members of the Europeanservice management team, sharing technical resource and information to improvecustomer service across the organisation. It is therefore important thatcandidates applying for this role is a cooperative team player, passionateabout establishing, maintaining and developing effective working relationshipswith colleagues.

Strong numeracy skills are key, as you will be workingwith figures on a regular basis. The Service Manager’s job will be to preparedepartmental budgets that support organisational objectives and goals, ensuringactivities are consistent with the achievement of this budget. You will beexpected to produce accurate monthly management reportscovering areas such as financial performance against budget, installationstatus, departmental activity, customer service, technical issues andpro-active service prospects. Your role will also involve ensuring allchargeable work is invoiced accurately.

This is also very much a customer oriented role. AsService Manager, you will manage key account initiatives, resolve customerqueries, issues and complaints, including site visits where appropriate. We arelooking for someone with an outstanding knowledge of printing equipment, topromote and sell pro-active service activities/projects/packages.
