In Bristol we have a clear vision for Adult Social Care and a plan for how to make it a reality for people who draw on care and support. Due to the career progression of the current post holder, we are looking for a talented Service Manager to help lead our Strategic Safeguarding, DoLS and Transitions services.
What you’ll be doing
As Service Manager for this challenging but rewarding portfolio, you will have the opportunity to use creativity and evidenced based thinking to ensure the smooth running of the Safeguarding and DoLS teams, supporting them to meet statutory duties safely and efficiently.
You will drive personalisation, so your services are person centred and citizen feedback shapes delivery. As one of the leads for Safeguarding and DoLS, you will chair forums and drive safe practice though quality assurance activity. In the transitions space, you will continue to improve the service and work across key partnerships to achieve this.
What we are looking for
Working with the Head of Service, you will implement improvement plans across your areas and ensure delivery of processes across the services.
You will mentor and the coach Team Managers in your leadership team to ensure wider team goals and objectives are achieved.
You will be an experienced leader in performance management and be an expert in Safeguarding, DoLS and Transitions legal framework and policy.
We would expect you to be an experienced operational leader able to lead through a strategic lens.
