Senior Technologist Job in West End, London

A has just become available, with an award-winning AJ100 practice in their new London office. The successful Senior Technologist will play a pivotal role in the continued success of this growing practice.

Our client has a diverse portfolio with projects in the industrial, offices, residential, retail, and leisure sectors. They have won several awards, including Best Places to Work, and Architectural Practice of the Year.

This role offers the chance to contribute to a growing number of projects, primarily focusing on residential re-cladding projects across all RIBA stages, with a strong emphasis on Stages 4 and 5.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical design and coordination of multiple projects across all RIBA stages
  • Produce and/or supervise the preparation of technical design information, including drawings, details, specifications, and other relevant documentation and reports
  • Lead design team meetings, produce meeting reports and actively contribute to all project meetings
  • Respond to and resolve site queries, attending site as required to review construction works for quality and statutory compliance
  • Depending on experience, manage and supervise junior team members to achieve optimal results.
  • Required Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of experience as a Technologist/Senior Technologist on commercial or large residential projects
  • Demonstrated technical ability, especially in developing bespoke construction details to solve technical problems
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD (a pre-interview Revit test will be issued to shortlisted candidates)
  • Thorough working knowledge of the UK planning process and building regulations, including recent changes under the BSA
  • Strong teamwork skills, a solid work ethic, and a willingness to go the extra mile
  • Clear and confident communication skills (verbal, written, and listening)
  • Good emotional intelligence and empathy, with the ability to establish positive rapport with others.
  • What you get back

  • Salary of £47,000 – £55,000
