Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain Perforce multi-server environments for EA game studios across the world to support many distinct user communities
  • Troubleshoot Helix Core applications (p4d, p4v, p4p) and act as escalation point for studio teams
  • Mentor the operations team by assisting in their resolution of support requests
  • Identify repetitive operational tasks for process improvement and automation
  • Understand system design and implement systems and services that are secure, scalable, reliable, and performant
  • Actively participate and contribute within a scrum or kanban agile team
  • Collaboratively work with the wider product team to deliver our IT strategy shared goals
  • Understand studio and game creation needs evolve and shift focus as needed
  • Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience delivering and maintaining Linux-based Perforce or equivalent source control/management enterprise services (TeamHub, Github, Gitlab, BitBucket, PlasticSCM, Microsoft TFS, similar)
  • Strong understanding of source control, configuration management, and application lifecycle management principles
  • Experience with Commit-Edge-Proxy Perforce (Helix Core) Distributed architecture
  • Experience troubleshooting and providing resolution to difficult, unfamiliar issues
  • Experience with Perforce SDP & Helix Swarm code review tools
  • Experience with Perforce Distributed Version Control System (DVCS) in server-to-server deployment
  • Preferred Skills

  • Experience with creating and/or supporting in-house tools with languages such as PowerShell, Python, .Net Core (C#), BASH, Perl
  • Experience with enterprise monitoring and analysis, such as datadog, grafana, prometheus, splunk, or similar
  • Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices
  • Professional certifications, such as Azure, AWS, GCP, VMWare, Linux, CompTIA, Agile Scrum
  • Experience leading Scrum and/or Kanban Agile ceremonies
  • Familiar with product/service delivery methodologies

    BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

    The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

    EA has listed the base salary ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

    BASE SALARY RANGES

    • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
    º $107,600 - $147,100 CAN Annually

    Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
