Position Overview\n\nDevelop real-time| safety critical powertrain systems for use within passenger vehicle and commercial vehicle applications.\n\n\nRoles & Responsibilities\n\n Designing control algorithms & strategies (using Matlab Simulink\/Stateflow)| and autogenerating code for production intent software\n Designing system diagnostics and CAN communication specifications\n Developing validation tests for electrical test bench| HiL and vehicle\n Development of functional safety strategies to EGAS standard\n Capturing and analysing customer requirements\n Provide expertise for investigations and problem solving activities\n Supporting the customer s engine and vehicle testing\n Supporting system and hardware FMEA\n Provide guidance to systems engineers and peers\n\n\nSkills Mandatory\n\n Minimum of 5 years experience in developing real time embedded systems \n Understanding of Matlab Simulink and Stateflow\n Use of CCP calibration tools ( INCA| ATI Vision| CANape)\n\n\nDesirable \n\n Experience of developing any of the following:\n o Fuel injection systems\n o Engine control features\n o OBD or powertrain diagnostics\n Understanding of sensors and actuators (analogue| digital| H-Bridge| CAN-based| SENT)\n Understanding of CAN| UDS and J1939 protocols\n Experience of working for a Tier 1 supplier in the automotive industry\n Experience of a production intent auto-coding environment\n Experience of testing on bench| HiL or vehicle\n CAN Tools ( Vector toolchain)\n Activity management tools ( Jira)\n Understanding of source code (C language)\n\n\nAttributes \n\n Self-motivated with a strong and flexible attitude towards work\n Ability to communicate at all levels\n Team orientated\n Excellent attention to detail\n Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines when required\n The ability to prioritize and organize own workload\n Treat colleagues and work colleagues with respect (Equality and Diversity)\n\n\nExperience & Qualifications\nMandatory\n\n Educated to degree level in engineering or equivalent\n Minimum of 5 years experience in developing real time embedded systems \n\n\nDesirable \n\n ASPICE awareness\n ISO26262 awareness\n Cybersecurity awareness\n Microsoft Office tools
