Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer – Air Traffic Management Systems (ATMS)
Location: The work will be based out of our Glenrothes or Harlow Sites with possible national travel requirements.
Summary of Role:
Raytheon are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer for the ATMS Business Area. This role line-reports to the UK Quality Manager.
Main Duties:
Ensure the Quality Management System processes and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contracts.
Lead Quality Working Groups to diagnose and mitigate product non-conformities identified internally and externally. RCCA and Non-Conformance Management
Submission and maintenance of budgets for the QA activities in the ATMS Business area.
Providing advice to the Business Area Lead and all Program Leads on the quality aspects of the work being undertaken.
Quality support to program reviews.
Perform the quality activities within the ATMS Programs in support of the respective Quality Assurance Plans i.e. First Article Inspections, Source Inspections, support to Quality Assurance Working Groups, checks on incoming and outgoing products i.e. Certificates of Conformance.
Customer liaison on any External Customer quality audits or meetings.
Perform and Manage Internal process audits across the Advanced Product & Sensors business areas.

Candidate Requirements:
Planning and conducting quality activities.
Writing and reviewing Quality Plans, reports and plans.
Developing and maintaining sound, productive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
Problem solving to ensure the programs can meet their needs whilst still achieving the agreed quality requirements.
Performing audits of products and processes within a program or business.
Communicating with internal and external stakeholders at multiple levels and technical SMEs.
Analyse Quality data and manufacturing processes to drive continuous improvement and preventative action initiatives to reduce quality costs, through the implementation of mistake proofing.
Coaching and guiding other team members and stakeholders in the needs of the business from a QA perspective.

Knowledge of Quality Assurance, Internal Auditing and RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) methodologies
Stakeholder Management
Experience of working within a Quality Assurance team supporting one or more programs
Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all business levels.
Desirable:
ISO Auditor Trained or Knowledge of Standards ISO9001 and or AS9100
Knowledge of DAOS, RESA, AQAPs
