Aleading client of ours is looking for a highly skilled SeniorOperations Analyst to join their Operations team. This permanentfulltime position is based in London and offers a fantasticopportunity for a motivated individual to support the daytodayrunning of payment services and other customerrelatedservices.

OverallJobPurpose:
Toperform all operational tasks to facilitate the daytoday running ofpayment services and other customerrelatedservices.

PrincipalDuties andResponsibilities:

  • Ensureall incoming and outgoing payment transactions failing StraightThrough Processing (STP) are authorized accurately and withindeadlines (RTGS CHAPS Faster Payments Bacs) and assist with thereconciliations processdaily.
  • Overseethe timely processing and maintenance of Direct Debits StandingOrders and related entries within the mandated operational scheduleto effectively meet scheme schedulerequirements.
  • Actas a first point of escalation to resolve customer internal and/orexternal bank queries relating to payments promptly and in linewith servicelevels.
  • Overseeperformance and validation of all static data tasks aligned withopening closing and daytoday accountmaintenance.
  • Providesubject matter expertise or identify the appropriate team resourceto assist with the Reconciliations process when breaksarise.
  • Promotea culture of continuous improvement by proactively working withcolleagues to identify areas for improvement and suggestingsolutions for the operations system communicating these to the Headof Operations andothers.
  • Buildand maintain relationships with customers payment schemes andcolleagues ensuring high service standards and makingrecommendations to improve services on an ongoingbasis.
  • Maintainan indepth understanding of AML KYC banking sanctions and FCAregulations to ensure compliance in handling customer accounts andclient funds assisting with risk mitigation by followingestablished controls and proposing improvements whereneeded.
  • Producereports and management information asneeded.
  • Supportthe Operations Team Leaders and others with ad hoc requestsprojects or routineduties.
  • Actas a delegate for Operations Team Leader asrequired.


Requirements

KeyRequirements:

  • Ideally35 years of payments processing experience with specific knowledgeof UK clearingsystems.
  • Excellentcustomer managementskills.
  • Strongoperationalskillset.
  • Effectivecommunication skills with the ability to engage with various levelsof seniority internally andexternally.
  • Customerservicefocused background with a good understanding of banking ingeneral.
  • Selfmotivatedindividual with attention to detail commercial awareness goodjudgment and decisionmakingskills.

AdditionalNotes:

  • Asa Financial Services organization compliance with the requirementsset by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is mandatory. Thisrole falls under the Conduct Rules of the Individual AccountabilityRegime (IAR) and is subject to preemployment screening including afull credit check criminal record check residency and right to workchecks.
  • Thedepartment operates Monday to Friday from 7 am to 7 pm and thesuccessful candidate will be expected to work from the Londonoffice at least 4 days aweek.

Good knowledge of FX derivatives.Ability to multi-task and detail oriented. Excellent communicationskills, foreign languages a plus. Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills. Experience working in a regulated environmentand knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associatedwith this.
