In Hull, Occupational Therapy is a vital function of Adult Social Care, ensuring that individuals can maintain their independence and live life to the fullest in their own homes. We have established a close working relationship with multi-disciplinary teams across adult social care, and health colleagues within the NHS and as such we are not only able to collectively offer exceptional care and support to the people of Hull but also can offer excellent training, support, and development in your career.
As a Specialist Occupational Therapist, the role will support the understanding and application of emerging evidence regarding a trauma informed approach to people accessing adult social care whilst defining the approach that envisions Hull as a trauma informed city. To apply the principals of Rights based inclusive practice, which is anti-oppressive, anti-racist and anti-discriminatory. To use solution focussed conversations, and agree goals with people as part of a proportionate assessment process. Where appropriate to contribute to, or lead on the statutory assessment and review of individuals care and support needs under the Care Act 2014.
As a valued leader, you will be providing supervision and clinical oversight to other qualified Occupational Therapy Staff and Occupational Therapy Assistants, as well as carrying a complex case load. You will contribute and lead on service development, policy and process for Occupational Therapy and ensure OT is embedded within the wider Social Care offer.

Sound interesting? We also offer a variety of opportunities to rotate between teams and work flexibly including full or part time hours, 7 or 5 day working and possible term time only working by negotiation (7 day working includes weekends on a rota basis with alternative days off in the week).
Recognising the workforce demand these posts are enhanced with a market rate pay supplement in excess of the top of the substantive grade. An annual review will take place which could reduce, increased or removed the enhancement subject to market conditions.
