The Senior Messaging Operations Analyst leads on the innovation of campaign delivery, creation, building of complex campaigns, provides technical coaching/training of others.

Working within an Agile framework the holder is responsible for the selection of customer data for 1:1 communication.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Build and deliver complex 1:1 multi-channel / multi-step customer communications. Expert level skill set of core data repositories and tools (SAMS/CIM/VCX/SAS/PEGA/SQL).
  • Work within an Agile squad to deliver business requirements, with a clear focus on continuous development - share knowledge/best practice with the rest of the team and provide peer to peer feedback, training, quality checks and support.
  • Lead on campaign delivery innovation, re-engineer existing campaigns to make full use of new systems and data sources.
  • Lead on Chapter innovation projects
  • Identify and take ownership of system/data issues, seeking own resolutions or liaising with other experts.
  • Proactively identify risk associated with customer data and campaign selection, ensuring the delivery processes are followed and the risk controls are completed 100% of the time. Take ownership of issues and ensure the appropriate course of action is taken.
  • Proactively input into backlog discussions to prioritise workload against business objectives, adapt to change and identify and solve problems to allow the team to succeed.
  • Understand, embrace and encourage the utilisation of agile delivery methodologies, leveraging agile system management tools (Jira/Confluence) to update progress. Actively contribution to regular meetings, providing expertise and consultation.
  • Continuously adapt to balance and prioritise different demands and requirements from multiple directions and stakeholder.
  • Grasp complex and incomplete information to make timely decisions.
  • Identify and define issues or problems that are not obvious; participating actively and constructively in meetings where problems are discussed and resolved.
  • Bring structure and order to undefined problems and/or large-scale problems, making them easier to address and solve.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring others know about and comply with relevant legal, regulatory and internal policies, processes and controls.
  • Requirements

    The ideal candidate for the role will have:

  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies / working as part of an Agile team – desirable
  • Knowledge of data manipulation within large complex databases and extraction of data from multiple sources.
  • Ability to work on own but also as part of a larger team to achieve a common goal/objective. Actively engages with others to gain different perspectives and knowledge.
  • Problem solving skills and resolution management. - essential
  • Advanced level skill set of core data repositories (SAMS/CIM/VCX/SQL/SAS) – essential.
  • This role can be based in Sheffield, Leeds or Chester.
