Overview of the Role

In a world of globalisation and constant innovation, organisations need to stay one step ahead and their business structures are facing an ever-changing technological and socio-economical paradigm. We empower our clients to achieve high performance from emerging technologies and by helping them design and implement their new operating models and structures. With rapid growth across many of our sectors, we are looking for a talented Senior Manager to lead the development and growth of our Finance & Enterprise Performance capability. 
 
This role will work across the Enterprise Model & Strategy team, with a specific focus to lead consulting solutions for CFOs and their teams, seeking to transform the finance function, embrace digital technologies, and drive enterprise business performance through robust revenue, cost, and profitability management.

Key expectations from this role include: 

  • Capability Development - Lead the development and evolution of consulting services and solutions for the Finance & Enterprise Performance capability area, ensuring the team has the necessary skills and expertise to deliver high-quality results. Develop and implement strategies to integrate emerging technologies and best practices into our offerings, addressing capability gaps and driving innovation. Collaborate with stakeholders to align capability development with business goals, establish a roadmap for continuous improvement, and maintain a repository of best practices to ensure our services remain competitive and leading.
  • Business Development – Utilising a combination of the organisation’s broader pre-existing relationships, company relationships and your own network, you’ll be expected to generate an expected target revenue (£1m) for Invent. You will also lead the pursuit of business development opportunities for the Enterprise Model & Strategy practice, including strategy development & execution, operating model, process, service, and organisation design. 
  • Engagement Management - Leading the delivery of large and complex projects, working collaboratively with team members and clients to rapidly understand and define business challenges and potential solutions. You will have accountability for delivery of strategic transformation projects within Enterprise Model & Strategy and drive the further development of these accounts. 
  • Thought Leadership - Develop and present meaningful and practical insights and recommendations, based on a robust evidence-base, and that can stand up to client scrutiny. 
  • People Leadership - Coach, develop, and performance manage team members as part of project delivery and wider practice leadership.
  • Relationship Management: Build strong, long-lasting client relationships as a trusted advisor at all levels.

  • We'd Love to Meet Someone With

    As a Senior Manager in the business you’ll help set the direction, driving forward the business, model our values and behaviours, and coach and develop junior members of the team. We'd love to meet someone with some if not all of the following:

  • A chartered professional accounting qualification or internationally recognised equivalent (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW, ICAS, ICAI or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working with CFOs, and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with senior management level executives. 
  • Experience of working collaboratively with team members and clients to rapidly understand and define business challenges and potential solutions.
  • Experienced in shaping and solving problems using a fact-based approach to drive our insight.
  • Experienced in developing and communicating new ideas and conceptualise innovative approaches and go-to-market solutions. 
  • A track record of providing finance and enterprise performance management solutions to business challenges (finance strategy, operating model, business cases, portfolio management, performance management frameworks / OKRs and KPIs / EPM, revenue / cost and profitability management and digital finance / finance systems / ERP). 
  • Exposure to general consulting/management experience with proven experience of delivering across strategy/business model/operating model/organisational design work. 
  • Experience leading and planning the execution of overall work stream(s) necessary to the delivery of the programme in line with the appropriate methodology. Contribute to the redesign activities of how services should operate to optimise performance by embracing digital capabilities.
  • Experience of building and managing teams to mobilise and manage multiple projects and workstreams.
  • Experienced in selling additional resources, shaping winning deals and be actively involved in the development of the account. 
  • To be successful you’ll be highly motivated, a self-starter, bring a proactive and can-do attitude to project delivery. You will be capable of working independently as well as in teams in our collaborative but sometimes demanding project environment. You’ll need to be credible and be able to effectively engage with stakeholders from all levels of an organisation, on a peer-to-peer basis. You’ll enjoy managing a team, providing direction, and supporting others around you. You will have a strong desire to continue growing and to develop those you work with, both clients and Capgemini Invent employees. You’ll model our values and behaviours and demonstrate consulting professionalism and flexibility - you’ll be able to adjust positively to situations that involve changing tasks and/or location, shifting priorities or ambiguity.
