Senior Engineer
Our client is looking for a Senior Engineer to join their team in Haringey.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer to take the lead in developing, reviewing, designing, and delivering a range of schemes. These schemes promote walking, cycling and bus priority and reduce congestion and improve road safety.
The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of highways, traffic and transport-related legislation, as well as an understanding of the current planning, sustainability and economic agendas which influence delivery.
Responsibilities of the role:
·To develop solutions to highway, traffic and transport-related problems.
·To be responsible for feasibility studies, detailed design and delivery of schemes.
·To liaise and work with internal and external clients.
·To plan, programme and deliver projects in a timely and effective manner.
·To adhere to all council procedures relating to project work
·To write project briefs, draft reports, and provide information for presentations to the public and councillors.
Requirements of the role:
·An understanding of the principal responsibilities of the location government and the public sector in respect of highway, traffic and transport design and management.
·Experience and knowledge of highway-related safety legislation and practice.
·A thorough understanding of relevant highway management legislation and statuary duties.
·A record of successful and consistent delivery or traffic and parking schemes
·Possession of a relevant professional qualification and suitable experience
