Senior Consultant, EMEA Data Centres

Role:

  • To scope, win and deliver consulting opportunities.
  • Collaborate with DC owners, operators, and investors to understand their pain-points and deliver relevant consulting opportunities.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver consulting projects and navigate a matrixed business environment.
  • Conduct analysis, data collection, and engage with senior stakeholders to develop strategies and provide recommendations to enhance clients' business performance.
  • Provide innovative solutions to a broad range of clients, demonstrating a track record of fast-paced learning and collaborative cross-functional working.
  • Responsibilities:

  • Manage all live client contracts and projects.
  • Close/win current pipeline opportunities.
  • Develop new consulting opportunities with existing JLL accounts (Non-DC accounts) and sector leads.
  • Identify and deliver new opportunities with DC operators and investors.
  • Develop investor data centre 'product'.
  • Work on development into the successor of EMEA DC Consulting Lead.
  • Key Activities:

  • Lead and engage at all levels internally and externally.
  • Ensure excellence in client liaison and service, maintaining and developing a professional relationship at peer/sponsor level within the client organisation
  • Own and deliver projects to lead on and generate opportunities for new projects
  • Establish deliverables, resource needs, and work plans with clients and internal departments.
  • Draft proposals and commercial terms
  • Manage multiple high-priority projects across the region, ensuring compliance with client's procedures.
  • Translate clients' strategic direction into change management strategies.
  • Conduct financial analysis and generate business case reports.
  • Become knowledgeable on a broad range of consulting topics such as Sustainability, Supply Chain, Physical Security, Technological innovation and Operations to a level to allow quality consulting and for your work to be enhanced by an SME when necessary, not completed by one.
  • Candidate Requirements:

  • Consulting experience.
  • Knowledge/experience in data centres.
  • Strong client experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PPT).
  • Independent, flexible, and adaptable.
  • Detail-oriented and quick to grasp essential details.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Problem-solving and analytical ability.
  • Comprehensive project management skills.
  • Team player with people management expertise (direct or indirect).
  • Reporting Line:

  • Reports to DC Consulting Lead, Catriona Shearer, under Jonathan Kinsey.
  • KPIs:

  • Fee generation target appropriate for the role.
  • Cross-region and cross-functional collaboration.
