Job Title:
Design of civil engineering systems to concept stage meeting business, statutory legal and contractual requirements for Government programs with an ensuing role of Technical Assurance Management ensuring that the design principles are maintained by the contractor through the developed design and construction. There will be requirements to assist the Client in the tender process, condition surveys and handover.
A Civil engineer is required for working on a variety of government and public frameworks and overseeing the successful deliverance of the projects acting as client technical advisor specialising in below ground and surface water drainage design. The role also involves the assessment of highway and pavement designs and a suitable knowledge in this area is required.
Due to the nature of the work security clearances will be required and a pre-requisite of this process is that the candidate has been resident in the UK for 3 years (tbc).

Key Job Responsibilities
·Provides designs and manages the developing design as per framework contract requirements.
·Collaborates with the wider design disciplines, client personnel and construction teams.
·Assists with the production of reporting information.
·There will be requirements to assist the Client in the tender process, condition surveys and handover.
·Attends / participates in client meetings and design workshops as necessary.
·Undertakes reviews and comments on Contractors proposals
·Engages with business improvement directives where applicable.
·Works collaboratively towards the common goal, and shares responsibility for the delivery of work.
Skills to carry out the role
Essential
Relevant degree in Civil Engineering
Chartered professional or working towards
Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations and a good knowledge of statutory regulations and standards, below ground drainage and SuDs systems.
Working knowledge of Revit
Good knowledge of statutory regulations and standards.
Effective technical competence, capability, basic knowledge & application of all civil engineering systems.
Collaborative mindset to work closely with architects, engineers, and sustainability consultants to integrate energy-efficient design solutions.
