Hours: 4 days on, 6 days off (with sleep nights). We are a 365 day a year service due to the nature of our work. Rotas given in advance

Pay rate: £39,762 to £42,804 per annum,* including opportunities to pick up overtime at an enhanced rateEsland are driven to changing children’s’ lives for the better by providing the best-in-class specialist services.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for experienced, nurturing and dedicated individuals, who can provide an outstanding level of childcare and allow our young people to achieve amazing outcomes.

Moorlands Cottage is a two-bed service proving immediate intervention and trauma-informed, therapeutic support. Over a 12 week placement, our young people are given security, support, and stabilisation in a nurturing and peaceful environment. Every placement provides PACE principle residential care, access to education and participation in outdoor/adventure activities.

  • A minimum 12 months experience in a children's residential care home
  • A level 3 (or above) diploma in residential childcare (or at least 50% complete)
  • A Full driving licence issued in the UK
  • A keen interest in outdoor and adventure activities
  • Applicants must have full right to work in the UK with no restrictions
  • In depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations, expectations and best practice 
  • Values in line with Esland's, such as taking a therapeutic, person-centred approach to childcare
  • Due to industry regulations, applicants must be aged 21 or above
  • Successful employment is subject to satisfactory Full Enhanced Disclosure, right to work and reference checks in line with government regulations and Safer Recruitment Practices (the company will cover the costs).
