Business Analyst - London market Insurer
London (Hybrid)
Up to £89,000 per annum
I am currently working with a London market insurer who have an opportunity for a talented Technical Operations Lead to join in a newly created role. This client are a global insurer and reinsurer with over 100+ years in delivering innovation into the insurance industry, primarily in Property, Casualty and Speciality lines of business. With significant investment incoming, this is a prime time to join an exciting growth journey as they look to expand their European and UK operations.
This role will be reporting into the Head of change Management and will be supporting the UK Change Mangers. This role required someone with London market insurance experience and an ability to lead a team of Business Analysts in providing support to the development of business cases, gathering of requirements, design, build, test and train on implemented business changes across multiple business functions.
Responsibilities:
Develop, Lead and Manage a team of Business Analysts
Take ownership and develop the business analysis approach as part of the wider project governance framework
Maintain all document repository with the necessary artefacts for both Project and Programme
Acting as a conduit between the business and IT Group, support the development of business cases, cost benefit analysis and high-level requirements
Work closely with Programme / Project managers to ensure robust and effective documentation, governance, control and reporting
Partake in testing activities of new / upgraded system implementations working with internal stakeholders across departments, including the Operations, Underwriting (management & controls) and data/MI teams
Contribute to information packs required for working and steering groups for monthly / quarterly management meetings
Support annual budget requirements through providing insights
Skills & experience:
7+ years Business analysis experience across 2+ London Market carriers
BA qualification of formal training
Previously worked in an Agile environment
Deep & wide-ranging knowledge of the London market and regional insurance processes
AS/IS - TO/BE process mapping or design experience
Demonstrable leadership and team management capabilities
Strong process and technology change experience with excellent documentation of changes
Ability to conduct workshops, requirements gathering and documentation
Skilled in communication; MS office 365; Visio; organisation and people management
