  • Gloucestershire County Council’s Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) Education Services is looking to recruit a SEND Quality Assurance Lead to take forward our quality assurance in collaboration with our SEND and Inclusion Local Area Partnership (SILAP).

    About the role:

    The Quality Assurance Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the quality of our local offer, balancing technical and operational activities to achieve the best results.

    The role will include:

  • Developing and implementing our quality assurance strategies and plans and aligning these to the core objectives of our SEND & Inclusion Local Area Improvement programme.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing changes to enhance quality assurance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Undertake quality assurance analysis and maintain detailed documentation of activity and impact.
  • Selecting and managing quality assurance tools and technologies to support the process of assuring good practice and outcomes for children, young people, and their families.
  • Ensuring that the impact of the SEND partnership meets customer requirements and provides a high-quality experience.
  • Work with colleagues to drive and deliver effective quality assurance across children’s services, focussing on SEND and working with the local area partnership SEND leaders, so that outcomes align to the SEND Improvement programme, evaluating performance and reporting to relevant boards.
  • As well sound experience in measuring and monitoring quality outcomes, you will need excellent communication and leadership skills. The role requires experience of partnership working and ability to build relationships with multi-agency partners and influence service delivery. Knowledge and skills of the education system and in particular SEND would be advantageous in leading improvements in service quality across services.

    The role involves agile working with elements of working from home and in the office base as well as occasional travel to meetings. Office base is Shire Hall, Gloucester.
