Job Title: Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO)

Salary:
£30,000 - £46,000 Per annum
Job Duties:
- Develop and implement strategies to support students with special educational needs
- Coordinate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create individual education plans
- Monitor and assess the progress of students with SEN, providing necessary interventions
- Ensure compliance with SEN regulations and policies
- Provide training and support to staff on SEN issues
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or willingness to work towards it
Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
Experience:
At least 3 years of experience working with students with special educational needs
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of SEN Code of Practise
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Special Education or related field
- Previous experience in a SEN leadership role
Working Conditions:
This role involves working in an educational setting, collaborating with teachers, parents, and external agencies. It may require occasional evening or weekend work for meetings or events.
