Job Title: SEN Tutor

Salary:

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide individualised academic support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Develop and implement tailored lesson plans to meet the diverse learning needs of students
  • Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to create a supportive learning environment
  • Utilise a variety of teaching strategies to engage students with SEN

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

At least 2 years of experience working as a SEN Tutor or in a similar role

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of SEN support techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs
  • Organisational skills and the ability to track student progress effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training in SEN education
  • Experience working with a variety of SEN conditions

Working Conditions:

The SEN Tutor will work in a home setting, providing support to students with SEN during school hours. The role may involve working one-on-one with students or in small group settings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
