GSL Education are currently working with a lovely Primary school situated in the Portsmouth area. This school has recently been awarded an outstanding Ofsted grade and are now looking for a support assistant to join their friendly team.

This school caters for children aged 2-11 years who have complex learning difficulties. Over 70% of their pupils have autism and severe learning difficulties. They are looking for someone who is positive and who can inspire a love of learning.

A suitable candidate will have experience working with children who have complex learning difficulties and enjoy building positive relationships.

Job role:

-            Working under the guidance of a teacher supporting small groups of pupils with learning tasks.

-            Supporting children’s emotional wellbeing and communication skills.

-             Safeguarding will be your number one priority ensuring the welfare of the pupils.

-            Working with KS1 aged pupils.

Job specification:

-            Full time 8:45am – 3:15pm (Mon – Fri)

-            £12.82 - £14.72 p/h

-            Temporary to permanent contract

-            Location: Portsmouth

-            Start date: Sep 2nd

To work with GSL Education as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you should: 
 

  • Have the right to work in the UK. 
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years. 
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
