An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated SEN Teacher to provide PPA cover at a primary school's Autism unit in Lambeth. This part-time role, covering classes on Wednesdays and Thursdays , is perfect for those looking for a flexible schedule while making a significant impact on students with Autism.

The role involves teaching a class of 8-10 primary-aged students with Autism, supported by a team of 3-4 LSAs . The school is Ofsted rated 'Good' , conveniently located near public transport, offering excellent access and just a short walk from the nearest station.

Key Responsibilities for the SEN Teacher:

Teach engaging lessons to students with Autism during PPA cover.

Work closely with LSAs to ensure students receive tailored support aligned with their EHCPs.

Create a positive, structured classroom environment that promotes both academic and social development.

Adapt lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of students in the Autism unit.

Requirements for the SEN Teacher:

SEN Teacher to have proven experience working with children with Autism in a classroom setting is essential.

SEN Teacher to have a proactive, patient approach to teaching, with a deep understanding of Autism and effective teaching strategies.
