Job Title: SEMH Support Assistant
Location: Tower Hamlets
Salary range: £85-£95 per day
Start date: ASAP

About the Role: As a SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Support Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students within a nurturing educational environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing tailored support to students with SEMH needs, both in and out of the classroom.
- Assisting with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Management Plans (BMPs).
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing through mentoring and guidance.
- Collaborating closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies to ensure holistic support for students.
- Monitoring progress and reporting back to the SENCO and other stakeholders.
Job Requirements: To excel in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs.
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build rapport with students.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience in challenging situations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive approach to supporting the educational and emotional development of students.
