Secondary Early Career Teachers - All Subjects

Location: Sheffield

Salary: £125 per Day

Start Date: September 2024

Contract Type: Full time and day to day

Are you a passionate and driven teacher at the start of your teaching career? We are looking for enthusiastic Secondary Early Career Teachers - All Subjects to join our supportive and inclusive co-educational secondary school in Sheffield. This is an incredible opportunity to make a real difference in students’ lives while developing your teaching skills in a vibrant school community. As Secondary Early Career Teachers - All Subjects, you will primarily teach students in Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4). Your empathy, patience, and dedication will help these young learners thrive both academically and personally.

Responsibilities as a Secondary Early Career Teachers - All Subjects:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons across various subjects for KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, offering constructive feedback to help them achieve their best.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement the curriculum.
  • Support students in their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events.
  • Continue your professional development by attending training and development programmes.

Requirements for a Secondary Early Career Teachers - All Subjects:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or in the process of obtaining it.
  • Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
  • Strong knowledge of the relevant subject area(s) and the ability to teach KS3 and KS4 curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to create an engaging and supportive classroom environment.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team.

To work with GSL Education as a Teacher, you should:  

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
