Secondary Early Career Teacher (ECT)

Location: North Shields

Starting Date: September 2024/ASAP 

Salary range: £120 to £250 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education an ethical organizationand a leading educational community have an exciting opportunity for a Secondary Early Career Teacher (ECT) position to join our dynamic team at a well-regarded co-educational secondary school in North Shields, starting September 2024. This role is perfect for someone enthusiastic about teaching KS3 and KS4 students and eager to start their teaching career in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Job Summary:  

As a Secondary Early Career Teacher (ECT), you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons, supporting student progress, and contributing to a positive learning environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for education, excellent subject knowledge, and a commitment to fostering student development.

Job Responsibilities of Secondary ECT:   

  • Teach engaging and effective lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Develop and implement innovative lesson plans that meet curriculum standards.
  • Support and monitor student progress, providing feedback and guidance.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Participate in school meetings, training, and development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience. 

Qualifications of Secondary ECT:     

 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QLTS, PGCE, NVQ or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to create a stimulating learning environment.
  • Enthusiasm for working with young people and supporting their development.
  • Dedication to ongoing professional development.
  • A valid DBS check is required for this role.
