Location: Newcastle
Salary: £120 - £180 per day

GSL Education is looking for a dedicated Secondary Early Career Teacher (ECT) to support a wonderful client school in Newcastle for the upcoming term. As a Secondary Early Career Teacher (ECT), your role will be multifaceted, encompassing responsibilities related to teaching children from Key stage 3 and Key stage 4, classroom management, student assessment, professional development, and collaboration with colleagues and parents.
Secondary Early Career Teacher (ECT) Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that meet the diverse needs of secondary students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student growth and development.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to enhance student outcomes.
- Actively participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the school’s continuous improvement.
Secondary Early Career Teacher (ECT) Requirements:
- Hold or be working towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England.
- Demonstrate a genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
- Previous experience to work with KS3 and KS4 students is appreciable.
- Show creativity in lesson planning and delivery, making learning engaging and accessible for all students.
- Willingness to reflect on your practice and seek continuous improvement.
- Possess an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to have one processed immediately.
- Be able to provide two professional references from the work places within the last two years.
