Our client, based in Cambridge, is currently recruiting for a Scheme Manager on a three-month ongoing temporary contract.
The position is due to start immediately, working 30 hours per work. The hourly rate is £22 per hour via an Umbrella Company.
The ideal candidate will have experience working within an elderly scheme, have an Enhanced DBS dated within the last three years and access to their own vehicle.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Managing a scheme, by carrying out all intensive housing management tasks
Assessing the support needs of new tenants to ensure they can independently maintain a tenancy
Managing a budget and identifying the needs of the scheme
Liaising with external support agencies to ensure all tenants have the appropriate support
Supporting any scheme-based employees such as Maintenance Officers, Compliance Officers, and Cleaners, providing appropriate guidance and supervision
Remaining fully engaged in all housing related issues including arrears and money management, ASB, safeguarding and repairs/maintenance of properties
Overseeing the health, safety, and maintenance of the building, ensuring that compliance requirements are met
Experience required:
Dealing with leasehold tenancies and shared ownership properties
Managed a supported housing scheme
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Be resilient when working with clients
Knowledge of allocations and dealing with empty homes
Working hours:
30 hours per week
Monday – Thursday 9:00am – 3:00pm, Friday 9:00am – 2:30pm
